DJ Seth Isaacs

Here's my set list from my first nght over at the Exchange Street Bistro in Malden, MA.  It's a posh, dinner/drink spot in downtown Malden that feels more like downtown Boston.  It's small enough to feel cozy but still has plenty dining space, a spacious bar wrap-around stoolage, and even has a few function rooms.

Happy Sweet 16 to Dani and thank you to her mom Lisa for having me as part of their celebration.  Burgers, birthday cake, and balloons, Dani celebrated in style with a healthy helping of her closest friends alongside an impressive buffet of pizza, make-your-own tacos, and of course burgers.  And what better way to celebrate than to have me come out and spin the best in Top 40, a sprinkle of Alt Pop Rock, and some throwback Jay-Z and Beyonce?  We started off with a little midtempo Kelly Rowland, Justin Bieber, and Rita Ora and then kicked it up after dinner until the wee hour of 11pm.  Check out the set list below.

Congratulations again to the birthday girl, shouts to her mom for having me come through, and man do those girls know how to party.  

Big Shouts to Lena and the rest of the IEC crew for partying so hard last night at their annual holiday party.  This was my third year making my appearance as their DJ and this year the annual event was held at the Boston Public Library.  It's always a pleasure working with The Catered Affair and the food and acommodations were impecible as always at the BPL.

Here is my set list from the Lovesick Expo that took place last Sunday, January 20th at the Epicenter at Artists for Humanity in South Boston.  It was definitely not your average weddng expo from the Boston Circus Guild providing entertaintment ranging from the more reserved (bands and belly dancers) to the more exotic (a burleque performance) to the taco truck parked out back to prizes being awared for the best Tweet.  It was also a fruitful event for us at the Beat Train Productions booth as we schmoozed with current and potential and current clients and provided the musical soundscape for the expo.

Below, check out my set list from that event.  Trading off with the various bands, myself, Nick, and Greg each had a 30-50 minute set to play a little Rock, Indie, and whatever else tickled our fancy.

A big shout out congratulations to Hans and Wendy who were married on December 15, 2012 at the beautiful Whispering Pines on the University of Rhode Island campus in West Greeniwhich, Rhode Island.  This was my first time at Whispering Pines and it was a marvelous event.  The ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing all took place inside the wonderfully rustic and charming Laurel Lodge that features plenty of dark woodwork, vintage furniture, and is finished with a spaciously screened in porch sporting lavish space heaters.

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing took place in the living room area which is equipped with a fireplace, classical woodworking and accompanying furniture, and a festive Christmas tree.  A mouth-watering dinner buffet complete with individual racks of lamb, fish, butternut squash ravioli, and salivating-inducing garlic mashed potatoes was prepared in the dining room with music provided mostly by friends and family who were instructed to sing their favorite song in order to convince the bride and groom to exchange a kiss.  An open bar encouraged patrons out onto the dance floor after dinner and a camp fire was the vehicle for s'mores once dancing ended from 9pm-11pm.

I wish the two all the best and their friends and family could not have said sweeter, more complimetary words about the couple.

For a national Sephora sales event, I had the pleasure of being the in-store DJ at the Sephora store at the Northshore Mall in Peadbody, MA from 6pm-9pm.  As per usual, they wanted an ecclectic mix of indie rock and electronic music and some pop  -- and I sprinkled in whatever else tickled my fancy.  Thank you to the wonderful staff who not only made requests but kept the party going all night and shouts to their VIB program that will hopefully continue to attract some of their biggest shoppers all weekend long.

Without further delay, here's my set list:

Kirk and Kerry were my first military wedding and they sure showed me a good time.  From traditional Irish music to hand stand contests to some form of impromptu military rowing formation on the middle of the dancefloor, Kirk and Kerry and their friends and family kept the party moving.  I had an amazing time and the good folks at Harrington Farm out in Princeton, MA took good care of us all.  I'm going to be reaching out the photographer, too, so maybe we can get some pics uploaded as well later on.

Congratulations to this wonderful couple and I wish them all the happiness in the world.   

Muchos congratulations to Mat and Elise.  I had the privelage of being their DJ last weekend and wanted to take a moment to post my set list.  They were amazing clients and they, their friends, and family danced their a**es off and I couldn't have had more fun.  I also always love it when I get to play 90's and 2000 Hip-Hop and R&B.

Big congratulations to Jay and Brian who were married last Saturday, May 19th.  They were kind enough to hire me as their wedding DJ through Beat Train Productions and alongside my trusted sidekick, Greg, and through we provided uplighting for their ceremony and reception and music during the cocktail hour, dinner, and then of course for dancing.  It was an amazingly ecclectic crowd of old and young, friends and family, with a massive range of musical taste.  As always, Norton's Woods provided a beautiful and artistic backdrop and the food was spectacular.  I wish I had gotten the photographer's name, too, cuz he was a cool dude -- and father of three.  I don't know how he finds time to shoot weddings.

Congratulations to Taran & Robert who were married on Saturday, March 12 at the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center!  I was privelaged to be their DJ for dinner and dancing and had an amazing time.  Thank you guys!  It was an intimate affair with close collection of family and friends in attendance.

As promised on Twitter, here's my set list from the JAG House Party last night.  I was privelaged to be the DJ at this recently-purchased, amazing condo in Boston's South End.  The digs, sufficeth to say, were upscale, the Japanese seafood chic, and of course the beer pong classy.  The music for the party ranged from Indie Dance, Electronic, Reggae, and Dirty South and the beer, wine, and champage flowed endlessly until the last song -- most approriately "Home."

Congratulations to JAG and I hope we can work together in the future.

I had a great time at my inagural appearance at the new Fizz Ed'z at 142 Pleasant Street in Malden, MA and hopefully it won't be my last.  I've been talking to one of the owners and maybe we can get some video going on in there.  It's a super nice looking place inside (although I don't drink so I'm not a walking encyclopedia on bars that are nice) and I think it's going to do well and start packing in the patrons. 

Anyway, I digress, I had a great time last night playing everything from James Brown to Armand Van Helden to Boston (of course) to Tyga to Earth Wind & Fire and I hope that people enjoyed the music as much as I enjoyed playing here.  And without further day, check out my set list below.

I had the privelage of being the DJ for the Davis House event at Balfour Center at Wheaton College on Saturday night.  The Davis House has been designated as the Unied World College house (according to the college) so I had to cater to a Top 40, Latin, House, Reggae, Reggaeton, and Britney Spears crowd. We were supposed to rock from 11pm-3am, but they shut us down early (dunno why) so my set got cut short.  Here's what I managed to run through during the 3 hours.  Of course I had to end the night in style with some Earth Wind & Fire.  Enjoy!
